Kang GURU is more than a weekly English language radio program broadcast on over 140 radio stations across Indonesia. Kang GURU, with support from the Australia Indonesia Partnership (AIP), AusAID and the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (IALF), produces a FREE English language magazine each March, June, September and December. Kang GURU is also linked directly with over 60 active, English language clubs across Indonesia. Existing English language materials for students and English language teachers is now comprised of several teacher packages including the 2004 Revised Teacher Package (the yellow package). To add to that, the SMP Teacher Package was released in mid-December 2005 and Kang GURU’s SMA Teacher Package is now available. Both of these packages are linked to the current English language curriculum used in Indonesian schools.

Kang GURU began in 1989. The Indonesian Government together with the Australian Government, through AusAID, established the Kang GURU language radio program network in Indonesia. The Staff of Kang Guru together with the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation, welcome you to this website designed primarily for you – the English language learner in Indonesia.

Kang GURU magazines are available FREE of charge every March, June, September and December courtesy of AusAID and the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (IALF).
